First Friday Art Walk dinner at Sante

Last Friday Ben and I attended the First Friday Art Walk dinner at Sante. IT WAS SPECTACULAR! We love Sante anyway, but this was a special 6-course dinner with guest chef Nick Yanes from Portland.

Here is the menu for the night:

The first thing we ate was the amuse bouche. It was delicious but if someone told me I was going to eat duck and chocolate and that I'd love it, I wouldn't have believed them.

Duck Prosciutto, pliable chocolate and fleur de sel

Fava Bean salad with whipped dijon mustard, globe radishes, red onions and soy sauce cloud (foam)

Yellow tail and escolar carpaccio with baby cilantro, olive oil, kalamantsi sauce, baby fennel bulb and 100 year balsamic.

My favorite dish of the night. Best pasta I've ever eaten! Fresh tagliatelle with parmigiano-regiano cream, fine herbs and Oregon black truffles.

The intermezzo is supposed to clean your palate. Momokawa pearl sake jelly coated raspberry sorbet.

This was a very close second as a favorite. Spring wild salmon with shallot and guanciale ragut, asparagus, cipollini onions and thyme cream. YUM!

The last savory course was a Berkshire Pork Tenderloin with roasted garlic espuma (foam), creamed corn and smoked asparagus.

Raspberry Financier with chocolate, tuille and basil sorbet.

We also had a fresh made in house strawberry soda which we forgot to take a picture of.

It was a delicious and unforgettable meal. I love tasting menus because you always try things you wouldn't otherwise order.

If you haven't been to Sante you should definitely check it out! They also sell amazing charcuterie products and have great cooking classes!

PS Please don't judge my food photography by these images. I thought my camera would be too big and awkward to take with us so we had to rely on Ben's IPhone.Don't be like me!
