The first thing we did was join Uncle Kevin and Erica to attend Music and the Spoken Word in the Tabernacle on Sunday morning. It was absolutely amazing! I love the Tabernacle Choir and the acoustics in the Tabernacle are simply unbelievable. What a great experience! If you are ever in SLC you can't miss it. We were only sad for the fact that we couldn't take Isabella because she is too young. They record the show live so they don't allow kids under 8. She would have loved it!
You can listen to a little bit of the choir here:
Then we went to church by Aunt Gail's house (grandma Goaslind's sister). And then we had lunch at her house. I took the chance to take some pictures of the three sisters.

In the afternoon, we attended Uncle Jack's viewing. There were SO many people! It was neat to see how many people loved him and were there to support his family. Then, we had dinner with Kevin and Erica at Flemming's. It was SO GOOD! From the bread to the lava cake it was absolutely flawless. Loved it! (I'm sure we took some pics, just can't seem to find them now!)
The next day was Monday and it was the day of Uncle Jack's funeral. We left the house at around 10am and drove to the Stake Center where his funeral was going to be. We grabbed some food at Arby's and headed to church. We were there for the family prayer and it was great to see President Monson there. He has a great sense of humor and after seeing a little girl in a yellow dress (his favorite color), he decided to make her laugh by wiggling his ears.
Then, we attended the funeral service and heard some great talks by Uncle Jack's children and by President Monson.
After that, we drove to the cemetery. What a beautiful, peaceful place!
We were standing right next to President Monson and we got to shake his hand. He tried to hold Isabella's hand but you know her. I went up to him and asked if I could shake his hand and he shook my hand and said:"You're tall". And then he told someone else: "I woman who speaks up. I like that." It was great to see how patient he is with people and how he's willing to listen to eveybody's request and story. We went back to downtown SLC and we decided to go Temple Square and take some pictures. It was really gorgeous with all the the flowers in bloom. Isabella had a lot of fun too!
... and dinner at Biaggi's.
