The Favorite Series - website edition

One of the reasons why I'm writing this blog is so that in 20 years I can remember what life was like in 2011. What I was like in 2011. There's no better way (or I'm just too sleepy to think you one) to do that than to record what rocks my world right now. Things I love. Things I buy. Things that inspire me. That's how the Favorite Series came to be.

No. If you stay till the end of the post I won't surprise you with a cruise, an IPad or a book for everyone in the audience. I'm no Oprah. But you might see something that strikes your fancy. So stay a while, will ya?

So here are some of the websites I use all the time and love. Some are very very obvious. Some might be new to you. They are all amazing. So check them out. Or don't. Party pooper.

Create your own radio station and listen to music in the style of songs and artists that you like. A great way to get to know new music that you might like. I love Pandora. Being surprised by a song I love in the middle of the day makes me happy. I'm not hard to please.

Buy or sell all things handmade. Supplies, sewing notions and handspun yarn. Photography props. Custom designed products. Art. Highly addictive. Very dangerous to your budget. Open at your own risk.

I just recently got into make-up. I love watching tutorials online and these are the best I've ever seen. I really like the way she does her make-up. If you can get past her mildly annoying voice and personality and you can put up with her saying over and over again "it's kind of very like just a little shimmery" than you will learn a lot.

One great deal a day. Unless it's woot off day. Then, one deal until it's sold out and then another one and another one and I am not allowed to talk to my husband for as long as it lasts. He might miss the chance to buy his "bag of crap". Any website that convinces people that paying 8 dollars when you don't know what you are buying is a good idea, has to be awesome. (people get anything from 1300 action figures, to flat screen TVs to a couple of random cables and a plastic IPod case- guess what we got.) I never buy anything on woot, but Ben does, and I get fun toys to play with.

Millions and millions of photos. Whether you want to just look at beautiful images from almost every great photographer in the world or you want to find a picture of a landmark you're going to visit or a cake you want to bake for your daughter's birthday, you'll find it there. Plus I met Ben through Flickr. I should definitely bump it to number 1.Highly addicitive. I could spend hours going through page after page. Don't be like me.

Here is the link to my page on Flickr (hint hint):

Because they are amazing. And innovative. And because I need inspiration. Love their work. Cuteness overload. Dangerous ovary stimulating images.Beware.

Yummy cupcakes. And pretty cookies. Tutorials. Recipes. The girliest, frilliest party ideas and decor. Nuff said.

Mostly for photographers. Marketing, packaging and templates. Lots of giveaways. Fabulous product reviews. Highly addictive. Can have a very negative effect on your finances, marriage and personal hygiene. Don't tell me that I didn't warn you.

A-M-A-Z-I-N-G! Photoshop tutorials, templates and actions. All free! All great! Really well explained and designed. Fun to browse. Hard to close. Highly addictive. May cause eye redness, lack of sleep and husband neglect. Oh, and hard drive engorgement.

Finally get that essential guacamole masher (you can't use a fork for that, can you?) or the Star Wars pancake molds we've been dreaming of for so long! The most beautiful pots and pans, awesome gadgets and kitchen paraphernalia in general. Yummy recipes. Highly addictive. May cause diabetes, obesity and bank account depleting. Ben buys a lot of their products. On Amazon. 'Cause it's cheaper. But we love looking. Don't be like us.

Here it is. My top 11. That's right. 11. Not 10. Because I'm a rebel and I like to live on the edge. Don't be like me.

Okay. I also LOVE Pandora and Coffeeshop Blog (I use their templates sometimes). I'm going to have to check out the Pioneer Woman one and tell my sister about the yummy treat one. Fun post Ana and beautiful shot of your family at the top.
