Josh Groban and why I love my husband

I first heard Josh Groban sing on an Ally McBeal episode many moons ago. I had never watched Ally McBeal before that day and have never watched it since. I was channel hopping and heard a beautiful song sung by a beautiful voice. I was hooked. For many years now I have been a fan ( I refuse to accept the title of Grobanite though- that's what his fans call themselves).

That's right world! I'm a Groban... (sorry, still can't do it) big fan of Josh Groban.

(Insert sarcastic remarks, scoffs, laughter with finger pointing and usual eye rolling I get when I mention that).

A person should not have to explain why they like something. Even if you wear one of these:

You shouldn't have to explain yourself. Because taste is personal. But I'm going to anyway because it gives me an excuse to post a couple of pictures of Josh. Don' be like me.

1- He has a beautiful voice. The man can sing. No question there.

2- I love the lyrics of the songs he sings. 50% of the reason why I like a song is the fact that I like, relate or am touched by the lyrics.

3- He sings in many different languages. All beautiful. All unique. I'd give my little finger to speak a whole lot of languages. Not really. But I'd love to.

4- He has a lost puppy face that speaks directly to the core of my maternal instincts and I could just take him home. Not really. But I'd love to.

I first heard of Ben when I saw a picture he'd taken during a trip in South America. I had never talked to a stranger on MSN before that day and have not done that since. I was group hopping on Flickr and saw a beautiful picture of a herd of sheep in the Andes. I was hooked. I have been in love with him ever since.

I feel like I never have to explain to ANYONE why I love Ben. They know because they see it too. And if they have spent any time at all with him, chances are they love him too.But I'm going to anyway because it gives me an excuse to post a picture of Ben.

1- He is the most easy-going, carefree and optimistic person you'll ever meet.

2- He is a problem solver. Give him a challenge and you'll be embarrassed you thought of it as a challenge.

3- He is patient with me, loves me and puts up with my total lack of the characteristics listed in item 1.

4- He doesn't like Josh Groban. At all! But he likes me and that's why ...

- his first gift to me was a Josh Groban CD. Before we had even met in person! It came in box with chocolate and Victoria's Secret products (lotion, people! you guys are impossible!) For weeks I asked the doorman in my building if the box had been delivered. One day he finally said that my box was there. I went upstairs and my mom told me a box had come for me in the mail. I acted as if I knew nothing about it. "A box? Weird!" "Quit lying, the doorman said you had been asking about this box for weeks!" Oops, moms always know (or find out somehow!) - Beware Isabella!

- He has given me every.single.cd that Josh has released on the day they came out. And then put up with me listening to the same songs over and over again.

- He has just bought me a 5th row seat for his concert in Vancouver! I mean, he signed me up for the fan club and bought the tickets at 10am today when they were first made available to make sure I got a great seat. Plus he is taking me there. Plus he's watching Isabella while I go.

I have been waiting to go to one of his concerts since I moved to the US. 3 whole years! He hasn't gone on tour in 3 years! I couldn't miss it!

Add that to the list of reasons why I don't need to explain why I love Ben so much! He is the opposite of a guilty pleasure and I am proud to say that I love him.
